How to Reach Ganpatipule

The drive to Ganpatipule is a vacation in itself. If you are travelling from Pune the route is absolutely beautiful particularly during the ghat section. The roads can be slightly bad especially after the monsoons.

Ganpatipule by road will take approx 8 - 10 hours from Mumbai or Pune. From Mumbai its a straight forward route on the NH17 till Nivali phata from where the SH needs to be taken to reach Ganpatipule. From Pune you can choose from the Bhor ghat, Poladpur or the Kumbharli ghat route to reach the NH 17 after which its the same route as the route from Mumbai. If you want to travel by train to Ganapatipule, Ratnagiri is the nearest rail head and there are frequent trains to Ratnagiri especially from Mumbai. There is one direct train to Ratnagiri from Pune, Pune Ers Sup Ex which operates on Wed & Sun.
